About Us

Our mission is to aid the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge program and to enhance awareness and appreciation of the Refuge. 

 Please join us.

We are an independant, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization officially recognized in 2000, and are dedicated to:

  • Promoting the conservation of the natural resources of the Refuge. 
  • Fostering public understanding and appreciation of the Refuge. 
  • Engaging in activities that will assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service meet its mandates. 
  • Providing educational opportunities.
  • Increasing public awareness, involvement, appreciation, and enjoyment of the Refuge. 
Some of the goals and actions we take to meet our mission include:
  • Nature Notes weekly radio broadcast.
  • Regular newsletters.
  • Organizing programs and events throughtout the year.
  • Presenting environmental education curriculum in 4th grade classrooms in six schools in Pacific County.
