We are an independant, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization officially recognized in 2000, and are dedicated to:
Promoting the conservation of the natural resources of the Refuge.
Fostering public understanding and appreciation of the Refuge.
Engaging in activities that will assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service meet its mandates.
Providing educational opportunities.
Increasing public awareness, involvement, appreciation, and enjoyment of the Refuge.
Some of the goals and actions we take to meet our mission include:
Nature Notes weekly radio broadcast.
Regular newsletters.
Organizing programs and events throughtout the year.
Presenting environmental education curriculum in 4th grade classrooms in six schools in Pacific County.
