Willapa National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

In 2020, the new Willapa National Wildlife Refuge Natural Resource Center completed Phase 1 of the headquarters building in the South Bay Unit at 7112 67th Place in Long Beach. The Refuge is planning a new Visitor Center for this site to be constructed adjacent to the headquarters as funding becomes available.

The Visitor Center will be used for education and community spaces and will include indoor and outdoor facilities for all ages and universal access. The facility will be a gathering place with exhibits and nature store and a site to promote education about local flora and fauna and the environments of the Refuge.

Want to help with the Visitor Center? The Friends are engaging in on-going fund raising to make this community asset a reality. The Friends have an interest-earning saving account in our local Community Foundation and earmark any proceeds from the annual Wings Over Willapa Festival to creating educational opportunities/exhibits at the Center. If you’d like to help, please find more information at our donation page.
