The Peninsula Grassroots Garbage Gang (GGG) needs your help! Every July 5th, community members come together for a coordinated beach cleanup effort along the Long Beach Peninsula. The Friends adopted and clean a section of the beach 1.3 miles north of the Cranberry approach from 148th to 158th Streets.
The GGG also need a coordinator for the main Cranberry approach coordinator sign people in and hand out bags as they head out to the beach to clean. This is a great opportunity to represent an organization or business. You can help there or choose your own beach area. These cleanups help preserve the quality and beauty of the peninsula for everyone to enjoy, including marine life.
