Willapa Refuge Is Working on Conservation Plan

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has been collecting input regarding interests, concerns, and viewpoints about Refuge management issues. This information will help produce a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) for the Refuge. The CCP will describe the desired future conditions of the Refuge and will guide management actions for the next fifteen years.

This planning process is hoped to provide fresh perspectives on Refuge habitat management and public programs. An 8-page color brochure describes the planning process: Planning Update 1 (March 2008) [PDF]

A second planning update summarizes public comments received and describes the next step: Planning Update 2 (July 2008). [PDF]
